Kane Constructions was appointed to deliver the Twelve Apostles Precinct Redevelopment in early 2025, a transformative project enhancing one of Australia's most iconic destinations while prioritising sustainability, cultural heritage, and community impact.
The centrepiece of the project is a state-of-the-art Visitor Experience Centre, thoughtfully designed to integrate with the natural landscape. The centre, when complete, will feature retail, dining, and exhibition spaces, a rooftop observation deck with breathtaking views, and a Welcome Garden celebrating Eastern Maar cultural heritage. Additional upgrades include expanded car parking, improved road infrastructure, and a focus on native landscaping to restore the environment.
The project will celebrate the natural beauty and heritage of the Shipwreck Coast while providing modern, sustainable facilities for future generations.
The Twelve Apostles Precinct Redevelopment is funded by the Australian and Victorian Governments through the Geelong City Deal.
The Visitor Experience Centre is being delivered by Development Victoria with Kane Constructions as the head contractor and will be managed by the Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority.
The precinct is being delivered in cooperation with the Eastern Maar Aboriginal Corporation.
