Kane Constructions has been awarded the new Integrated Practice Allied Health Building at the University of Southern Queensland’s (UniSQ) Ipswich Campus following the successful completion of the Early Contractor Involvement phase. The project will create a contemporary teaching and research hub that brings together UniSQ’s expanding health sciences program within a single purpose built facility.

The three storey building has been designed to strengthen the connection between education, research and hands on practice. The ground level will accommodate a suite of sports and exercise spaces including a weights gym, gait track, recovery zone and consulting suites to support clinical training. The second level will provide flexible teaching areas, breakout spaces and amenities for students and staff, designed to encourage collaboration and modern learning approaches. The upper level will feature a dedicated PC2 teaching and research laboratory, supporting advanced study across a range of health disciplines.

Once complete, the facility will enhance UniSQ’s capacity to deliver high quality education and training in occupational therapy, speech pathology, physiotherapy, paramedicine, nursing, midwifery, sports and exercise science and biomedical sciences. It represents an important investment in the development of the next generation of healthcare professionals.
