The winners of the 2018 Queensland Architecture Awards have been revealed and Kane Queensland’s recently completed M3565 Main Beach Apartments designed by Virginia Kerridge has been announced as the winner of the Job and Froud award for Residential Architecture – Multiple Housing.
The high-end industrial design incorporates seven apartments over eight storeys, plus an underground basement car park. The building envelope consists of off form coloured concrete wrapped in pre-patina zinc cladding and recycled grey ironbark timber screens. ESD initiatives included environmentally sustainable materials, solar panels, water storage tank and gas generator.
Projects that won an award will automatically be considered for the National Architecture Awards, which will be announced in November.
Congratulations to the team who delivered the prestigious beachfront apartments!
