Team spirit on show as Kane Queensland joins Bridge to Brisbane

14th September, 2025

The Kane Queensland team made a strong showing at this year’s Sunday Mail Transurban Bridge to Brisbane, joining tens of thousands of Queenslanders in one of Brisbane’s most beloved community events.

The 2025 fun run was held on Sunday 14 September, and organisers estimated 35,000 people took part across the city’s iconic 5 km and 10 km courses. Participants were walking, running or wheeling, not just for fitness but to raise money for vital local charities.

Kane Queensland’s team was out in force. They showed up at the start line, stayed together on course and crossed the finish line among fellow community members cheering them on. Their presence added to the energy and sense of purpose that the event strives for.

Event organisers had set a charitable target of $1.1 million this year. Hundreds of Queensland charities benefit through the Bridge to Brisbane, including groups like Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland.

The 10km course began near the Gateway Bridge and followed a scenic route across the river and along Kingsford Smith Drive before finishing in Bowen Hills. The 5km started at Hercules Park in Hamilton. Both routes ended at the Showgrounds.

A big thank you to everyone from Kane Queensland who took part, donated or cheered on the side lines!
