AI, collaboration & construction innovation the focus at Administration Day

15th May, 2026

Kane Constructions and arete Australia administration team members recently came together at Ikon Park for their biannual Administration Day, bringing together more than 90 team members from across the business for a day focused on collaboration, learning and innovation.

The event was held within the Allied Health Medical Imaging Facility recently completed by arete Australia at Ikon Park, providing a fitting backdrop for discussions centred around the future of the construction industry and the evolving ways our teams support project delivery.

The day opened with presentations exploring how Kane is embracing artificial intelligence through strategic partnerships, internal systems and Kane-developed AI agents to support the way we identify, win and deliver complex, high-quality construction projects.

Throughout the day, teams worked in smaller groups to discuss and present on a range of operational and industry topics, including procurement, building permit compliance, Security of Payment legislation and subcontract conditions.

Guest presenters included Darren Cain from KCL Law, who discussed recent Security of Payment changes, alongside Tegan Lopeman from ProcurePro, who shared insights into future procurement technology and upcoming platform developments.

The session also provided an opportunity for team members to contribute ideas and feedback around future AI opportunities within the business, with teams presenting concepts and participating in a live poll to vote on the strongest ideas from the day.

While the agenda focused on professional development and continuous improvement, the day also created valuable time for teams across Kane and arete to reconnect, share experiences and strengthen relationships across the business.
