Kane NSW team strengthens capability through industry-led learning sessions

31st March, 2026

Kane Constructions’ NSW team recently participated in a series of professional development sessions with Norton Rose Fulbright and Advanced Readymix, aimed at strengthening both contractual understanding and technical capability.

The day commenced with Norton Rose Fulbright, who provided practical guidance on key provisions within the Kane Subcontract Agreement and how these are applied across live projects. The session offered clear, real-world insights to support consistent and informed contract administration.

The team then visited Advanced Readymix for a site tour, gaining first-hand exposure to the end-to-end concrete production process. This included viewing aggregate storage, admixtures and additives, as well as core infrastructure such as mixing drums, cement silos, water tanks and pump systems. A demonstration in the central control room highlighted how daily logistics are coordinated, while the team also observed concrete batching and loading processes, providing valuable insight into the operational, safety and logistical considerations behind supply.

A follow-up session on concrete mix design explored how strength, workability and sustainability are balanced, alongside the role of each component within the mix. The team also reviewed practical on-site checks to support quality during concrete supply and placement.

These sessions provided valuable, practical knowledge that can be applied across Kane projects. Kane thanks Norton Rose Fulbright and Advanced Readymix for their time and expertise.
