Kane Constructions has completed the $110 million Iglu Flagstaff Station student accommodation development at 356 William Street, Melbourne.
Delivered under a Design and Construct contract for Iglu, the project comprises three interconnected tower forms rising 11, 20 and 24 levels and provides 485 rooms across 443 studios and 21 twin-shared apartments.
Located directly opposite Flagstaff Station and close to Flagstaff Gardens, Melbourne’s CBD and major university campuses, the development provides a highly connected inner-city living environment for students.
The completed facility offers a mix of private studios and shared accommodation, complemented by a range of communal spaces including study areas, social lounges, a gym and outdoor terraces.
Delivered within a constrained CBD environment, the project required detailed planning and coordination across the site, with the team managing construction activities alongside surrounding transport, pedestrian and city interfaces.
The completion of Iglu Flagstaff Station marks the delivery of another major purpose-built student accommodation project for Iglu.
