Kane Constructions has been appointed as the Head Contractor to deliver the $60 million Design and Construction of the Cobblebank Community Services Hub (CCSH) for Melton City Council.
Located within the Cobblebank Metropolitan Activity Centre in Melbourne's west, the six-storey facility is targeting a 5 Star Green Star certified building, including basement parking and over 13,000m² of flexible office, training and consulting spaces. The design emphasises adaptability to accommodate a range of community services and private/commercial providers, ensuring the building can evolve with future needs.
The CCSH will provide accessible spaces for essential services such as mental health, disability support, refugee assistance, family services, and culturally specific programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, as well as other culturally diverse groups. Situated on a 10,321m² site along Hollingsworth Drive, the hub will serve as a central point for community engagement and support.
Construction is scheduled to commence in 2025, with the facility expected to be operational by late 2026.
