In September 2019, Kane Constructions was awarded the $2.5M contract to deliver remedial works for the Illawarra Retirement Trust’s (IRT) Kangara Waters Facility in Belconnen.
The project scope includes the removal and replacement of all façade cladding identified as a fire risk, and replaced with fire compliant materials.
This will occur over five residential blocks, ranging from three to five storeys and three single storey buildings.
The facility will remain fully operational throughout the life of the project, and Kane will take all efforts to minimise any impact on residents, staff and their visitors.
The project is due for completion in September 2020.
