Kane Constructions was awarded the $79 million Design and Construct contract to deliver the transformation of the public realm at Melbourne Racing Club’s Caulfield campus.
The upgrade included the construction of a new 5,500m² timber administration building on the western side of the racecourse, along with a revitalised entry experience, expanded lawn areas and flexible event spaces to support both racing and non-racing activities.
A new centralised horse stalls complex and mounting yard was delivered, designed to enhance patron access and viewing while providing premium facilities for equine athletes. Participant zones were also upgraded, including new jockey and trainer amenities located adjacent to the mounting yard.
Landscaping, signage and fencing improvements were progressively delivered across 2022 and 2023, significantly enhancing the overall visitor experience and cementing the Caulfield campus as a leading racing and event destination.
The transformation of the racecourse was delivered in mid 2024.
