Kane Constructions has been awarded the contract to deliver a new $152 million aquatic and leisure centre in Melbourne’s west.
Located on a 3.6-hectare site in Fraser Rise, the purpose-built facility will include a FINA-compliant 50-metre pool, specialised learning and program pools, and a dedicated sensory aquatic space. The centre will also feature a 24-hour gym, allied health facilities, multipurpose community rooms and landscaped outdoor areas, creating a vibrant hub for sport, fitness and community connection.
Supported by $15 million from the Australian Government’s Thriving Suburbs Program, the project is being delivered in partnership with Melton City Council to meet the needs of the region’s rapidly growing community.
The all-electric facility is targeting a 5 Star Green Star accreditation and once complete, will position the centre as a leading destination for health, recreation and community engagement in Melbourne’s west.
