Kane Constructions has been awarded the Lump Sum contract to deliver the City of Moreton Bay’s highly anticipated redevelopment at Redcliffe, marking a significant milestone for the coastal precinct and the local community.
Construction is now officially underway on the project, with the commencement celebrated at a sod-turning ceremony on Friday, 27 February.
The project will revitalise this much-loved coastal precinct through the delivery of a new two-storey seaside pavilion and extensive upgrades to the surrounding public realm.
The pavilion will feature three new hospitality tenancies, an elevated event deck and public amenities, creating a vibrant destination for both locals and visitors. The broader works include upgraded landscaping, outdoor seating areas, shade structures, public changing facilities and an improved car park, enhancing accessibility and amenity across the site.
Designed to celebrate its coastal setting, the redevelopment will strengthen Suttons Beach as a key community and recreational hub for the region.
This project is funded through the South East Queensland (SEQ) Liveability Fund, a commitment under the SEQ City Deal. The SEQ City Deal is a partnership between the Australian Government, Queensland Government and Council of Mayors (SEQ) that will deliver long-lasting benefits to the region.
Kane looks forward to delivering this important community project for the City of Moreton Bay in partnership with Lahz Nimmo Architects, with completion anticipated in early 2027.
