Kane completes major upgrade at St Francis Xavier Catholic Primary School

12th March, 2026

Kane Constructions has completed a significant redevelopment at St Francis Xavier’s Catholic Primary School, Lurnea, delivered in partnership with Sydney Catholic Schools, St Francis Xavier’s Catholic Primary School, MostynCopper and designed by JDH Architects.

The project includes construction of a new General Learning Area building featuring contemporary, flexible classrooms and a large undercroft designed to accommodate future expansion. Works also comprised alterations and additions to the existing hall, new covered walkways, and an extension to Block A to deliver a new canteen.

In addition, the redevelopment incorporated substantial upgrades to essential services, including electrical, sewer, stormwater and fire infrastructure.

Key site improvements include the introduction of a new kiss-and-drop zone with associated road widening, improved level transitions across the campus, and new DDA-compliant pathways to enhance accessibility. All existing demountable buildings were removed as part of the works, creating a more cohesive and permanent built environment.

Delivered in alignment with the school’s approved masterplan, the upgraded facilities enhance safety, functionality and the overall learning environment for students, staff and the broader school community.

This project reinforces Kane’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality education facilities across New South Wales.
