Kane Constructions has completed a significant education redevelopment in Westmead for Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD), delivering a contemporary learning environment designed to support students now and into the future.
Delivered in collaboration with WINIM and Alleanza Architecture, the project centres around a new six-storey education building featuring modern and flexible classrooms that will enable best practice in teaching and learning to be supported, collaborative learning spaces, student amenities, a canteen and an expansive rooftop play area.
The redevelopment brings together students from Mother Teresa Primary School and Sacred Heart Primary School as they amalgamate to form a new school while also providing additional learning spaces for Catherine McAuley Westmead. The new facilities create a connected educational hub that supports learning, wellbeing and community engagement across the Westmead precinct.
Beyond the new building, the project included demolition of existing structures, extensive landscaping works and significant upgrades to campus amenities. Accessibility, safety and flexibility were key priorities throughout the project enabling the schools to ensuring the schools can continue to deliver quality educational opportunities that will meet students' needs for years to come.
The completed development reflects CSPD’s commitment to enabling high-quality educational environments that foster student success through evidence-based research into high impact learning and teaching practices.
