Kane Constructions has been awarded the St Margaret’s Arts Precinct project in Ascot, Brisbane.
Construction is now officially underway on the project, with the commencement celebrated at a sod-turning ceremony on Wednesday 27th May.
Delivered in collaboration with RCP and Blight Rayner, the project will provide a contemporary Performing Arts Precinct designed to support both curriculum and extra-curricular arts programs at St Margaret’s Anglican Girls’ School.
The new facility will include a Music Recital Hall, Black Box Theatre, specialist rehearsal rooms, teaching spaces, staff facilities, broadcast and control rooms, storage areas, basement car parking and associated external works, creating flexible and purpose-built environments for music, drama and performance activities.
The arts has long played an important role within the St Margaret’s community, and Kane looks forward to working with St Margaret’s, RCP and Blight Rayner to deliver a contemporary precinct that will support and inspire current and future students.
